The inaugural NEER international conference aims to foster innovative research and new connections between researchers, and especially to promote interdisciplinary and international contacts and collaborations. The conference will encourage discussion and the future advancement of topics and themes by means of 21 panel sessions of 4 pre-circulated papers per session. The Conference Programme is now available. One session has also been provided for Postgraduates and Early Career Researchers to present posters and discuss their work with conference delegates. All PGs and ECRs planning to attend the conference are encouraged to put forward a poster proposal. Please note that the deadline for poster proposals has been extended to 21 May 2007. In conjunction with the panel and poster sessions NEER has invited nine plenary speakers who will address the broader conference theme, Networks, Communities, Continuities, consistent with their various disciplinary approaches: Michael Bennett: University of Tasmania Informed and engaged discussion is the key to this conference so all Network Participants and interested researchers are encouraged to participate, whether they are presenting papers or not. All pre-circulated papers will be available on the conference web site no later than 31 May 2007. Please contact Dr Claire McIlroy for further information or to submit a poster proposal. |
