NEER has five main funding programmes aimed at bring researchers together: |
NEER Symposia and ConferencesThese events are organized by NEER Theme Leaders and by the NEER Management Committee. |
Sponsorship of Other Events*Network Participants are able to apply for funding for collaborative events such as symposia, conferences and other events directly relevant to NEER's area of interest through the NEER Discretionary Funding Scheme. The current Discretionary Funding Scheme applications close on 11 April 2008. *Please note: NEER is not able to support individual research (ie. attending or giving papers at conferences). Events supported must be of a collaborative nature. |
Collaborative Research ProgrammesIn 2005 NEER provided seed-funding for cross-institutional research groups planning grant applications for externally funded research projects. Applications for 2005 funding closed on 31st July 2005. Guidelines were circulated to participants. Applications for funding to support the preparation of collaborative grant applications should now be made to the NEER Discretionary Fund. Applications for the current round of funding close on 11 April 2007. |
NEER Research ClustersIn 2006 NEER funded a total of fourteen Research Clusters, in two application rounds, to begin working towards collaborative research outcomes consistent with the Network’s aims. Such outcomes will eventually include significant publications and the pursuit of major external grant funding. Applications for the final round of funding closed on 24 November 2006. Research Clusters can apply for top-up funding from the NEER Discretionary Fund Scheme. |
